I was sent the new CeraVe Acne Foaming Cream Wash a short while back (with no obligation to write a blog review), and have been including it in my skincare routine for 11 days now.
Let me start by saying my skin has had a rough few months- between summer humidity, stress, hormones, and lack of certain nutrients over an extended period of time (long story), my skin started producing excess oil like I’ve never seen before in my life!!
And while I’ve been able to start addressing all these issues after moving, and have been doing so religiously, it still takes time for the body to catch up. I’ve still been struggling with regular breakouts.
Enter miracle face wash. ✨️
First a word of warning: THIS STUFF IS DRYING! 10% benzoyl peroxide is no joke.
But it’s EXACTLY what I’ve been needing.
I used it 3x a day for the first couple days (remember, this was an extreme case, the recommendation is only once to start, then work your way up to twice, no more!) until my skin started showing its usual combination behavior. Now I’ve mostly returned to my usual CeraVe wash, then follow up with this stuff on the problem areas at night only, and it’s working wonders.
I saw results instantly, but I needed to give it time before saying anything publicly, and it’s really satisfying to watch a big anxiety-inducing problem fade more each day.
The only problem I have with it is the word “foaming” in the title. I would not describe it as foam. Perhaps slight suds, definitely creamy. This is misleading. But really, if the only issue I have is a petty one about the product name, there’s nothing wrong with it.
Rating: 10/10 but BE CAREFUL so you don’t burn your face off
