I previously mentioned going to Destiny USA in Syracuse, NY over the weekend for a fun indoor adventure to both escape the rain and [attempt to] get my 10k steps in for the day. I was about a mile short of my goal, but not bad- I still walked 3.5 miles total in the mall.
I was surprised how few people were there early afternoon on a Saturday, during holiday shopping season.. then realized it’s because of the online [Amazon] shopping thing.. but still, when you go and see the difference, it’s kind of shocking.
It’s the restaurants, games, multiple theaters, ropes course, and other attractions that seem to be drawing people in these days.
Speaking of, the SO and I went to 5 Wits and played a couple of their interactive live action games. [Think escape room lite.] We did the Egyptian tomb and spaceship, and scored quite high on both, with just the two of us. Def planning on doing the other two in the future.
Destiny USA is a great place to spend a rainy day. I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to returning. There is so much I have yet to do there.. and the shopping is pretty decent, too.
