What I’m loving right now:

Spring has sprung! ☆ rockhounding after the spring thaw (at a random creek + Skaneateles Lake) ☆ the weather is growing warmer ☆ sunnier days ☆ watching the seasonal birds return and other wildlife coming out of hibernation ☆ I’m finding the astrological new year to be absolutely magical. ✨️

Sunset from the Whitney Point Rest Area in Lisle, NY – March 15, 2025

While the SO and I were in a car accident earlier in the month, and it took me a couple weeks to [mostly] get over the PTSD symptoms, I’ve finally gotten to the point where I see a lot more positives/abundance now – we’re alive, and physically unharmed. The damage to the car was mild, considering what we went through. Everyone involved turned out okay. My gratitude mindset has amplified even more. The [already beautiful] springtime sun feels all that much more amazing. And I honestly don’t know how it’s even possible to love being out in nature more than I already did, but somehow I do. A brush with danger like that has its own way of renewing your appreciation for life.

I’m a sucker for a fun cocktail. The Fresh Margarita at Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Binghamton, NY is great.

date nights with the SO ☆ birthday celebrations with friends ☆ fun restaurants ☆ great food ☆ more outdoor activities as the weather grows nicer ☆ spring cleaning time ☆ some cool new changes happening in the [relatively] near future (secret for now) ✨️

I went to Kampai Japanese Steakhouse [in Vestal, NY] for a friend’s birthday dinner. They have the BEST fried dumplings! 🥟

waterfalls! ☆ I’m finding so many cool new places to check out ☆ “hiker’s high” – I love that accomplished, sometimes euphoric feeling you get from a good hike ☆ the cardio benefits are pretty rad, too

The “hikers high” is a real thing, longer days mean more time outside. Enjoy!

Whitney is my oldest daughter’s name. 💜 Good to hear that the accident trauma is behind you. 💜 I will be getting out more with my camera now that warm weather is upon us. I need to be on top of my photography game before we head west in September to: Badlands National Park, Yellowstone NP, Grand Tetons NP, and Glacier NP. 💜 Peace. 🙏🏼

Glad you’re okay after the accident. You must live in the area I was born in! So many of the towns and places you mention are right in my original neck of the woods! 🙂

Grateful you are unhurt physically and your sense of safety is recovered. Terrible car crashes are not easily overcome. Strong Work!
