I did it. I went for the BIG upgrade. After 5 years with my pandemic-era phone, I finally got the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

With everything I do online now, I couldn’t settle for anything less if I want to provide the best quality media possible, while still blogging on the go.

And that brings me to my next announcement–

I’m also doing separate longer form vlogs in addition to my usual hiking, food, nature ASMR, etc videos.

I know this kind of thing isn’t for everyone, and you’re welcome to skip over this content. I’m still keeping up with my usual travel stuff, too. That’s not going anywhere. 

But I want to get a little more personal sometimes. I’m a deeply complex person with a hyperactive mind and a lot to talk about.

Granted, for today this is a surface-level shop with me vlog.. and I plan to shoot more rockhounding videos in this format as well.. but it won’t be long until I start going into deeper topics like mental health, self care, and things of a more philosophical nature. It just kind of flows freely these days. (And I’m sure the SO could use a break from my thought stream. LOL)

This is my life now — blogging.

The aspirational semi-retired lifestyle that allows me to “work” on my own terms, that doesn’t feel like work because I’d do it anyway.

And I have, in one form or another, for over 20 years. The difference being they never worked out because they never really found purpose. Because I hadn’t yet found purpose.

Things are different now.

I understand how my [now diagnosed] neurospicy brain works. I invested in therapy. I did, and am always doing the work. I have completely left the past behind and began a new life from the ground, up. I have firm boundaries around my time, private life, and who I listen to. I believe in the power of the Universe. And I fell in love with HIKING — it changed my life.

I have so many stories to tell these days, and now I’m in a position, and have the means, to do so.

Life is good.
