The state of everything is beyond crazy right now — here in the US, and worse in many places all over the world. As if real life becoming more ridiculous than Idiocracy wasn’t enough, the Angry Toddler in Chief has put us all in a predicament where we may have just started WW3.

I am so sorry.

And I am so over this idea that we so carefully, not to hurt feelings, have to coax grown ass men to not destroy the world. It’s beyond pathetic.

But this post isn’t to rant, it’s to celebrate in spite of all this. Love is the greatest act of rebellion in a hateful world. So enjoy the beautiful things with me, if only for now.

What I’m loving right now:

It’s SUMMER! ☆ having the daylight to do everything I want (yes, sometimes at the expense of sleep) ☆ sunny skies ☆ listening to the birds ☆ getting lost (responsibly) in nature ☆ waterfalls ☆ finding new hiking trails ☆ stopping to pet the moss

afternoon coffee ☆ kitty cuddles ☆ sitting in silence and reflecting on all that I’ve been doing ☆ appreciating the little things ☆ shadow work ☆ taking a little extra time to fully recharge ☆ keeping a gratitude journal in addition to my (almost) monthly posts of this type

Shrimp Tacos and garage fries at Garage Taco Bar - Binghamton, NY

dinners out with the SO ☆ trying new foods ☆ and revisiting my favorites ☆ random small adventures for no particular reason ☆ bargain hunting ☆ rockhounding ☆ finding ease in the moment

my ability to find joy in uncertain times ☆ and the resilience I’ve built up over the years ☆ unwavering faith in the unseen ☆ knowing that I’m not alone in all this — while I’m unsure of humanity as a whole, I see the millions of you standing strong with me in defiance of dictatorial rule, and I believe in YOU

Gorgeous pictures, Kae. Thank you for reminding us that life has beauty and balance, no matter what and who is trying to do damage to our precious world. Love and positivity are the counterweight to that. Keep the beauty coming!

I’m a huge fan of great quotes, and yours is one of the best that I’ve ever read! 🌟

The state of the world is beyond crazy at this point, it’s very true. Even still, there is so much good happening all around the world, every single minute of every single day. We’re more powerful than we remember, and we actively participate in creating the peaceful world of our dreams. Each individual action we pose truly does count.

Gratitude is a powerful positive psychology tool and you have shown a perfect example of how to use it.
