The SO and I recently went to Scranton, Pennsylvania to check out Nay Aug Park [and work up an appetite before dinner at Backyard Ale House].

There is so much to see!

Brooks Coal Mine – they offer tours, but we didn’t look into them (we were headed back to the car when we saw this)

There is also a museum and probably some other things we missed.. The pool area is also a massive construction scene, so don’t plan on swimming there any time soon.

My sister used to go to college in Scranton, and said the foliage is absolutely gorgeous in the fall.

Well worth the visit. I definitely plan to return one day.

    What a gorgeous place!
I’ve always wanted to set up a painted door somewhere on the edge of my property. But it has to open and close… just in case someone or something wants to use it as a portal.

I grew up in Scranton and went to Nay Aug park quite a bit. Back then they had a small zoo that you could visit. The pool was the big draw back then.
