After thrift shopping the other day, the SO met up with me and we got dinner at Dave’s Hot Chicken, which I had been meaning to try for a while now.

I’m picky about the fast food joints I go to these days, and Dave’s doesn’t disappoint.

It’s one of those simple yet trendy places with murals spray painted on the walls and they have a small menu in varying levels of heat. I like that.

What I ate: Dave’s #3 meal

  • 1 slider, medium
  • 1 tender, medium
  • crinkle fries
  • regular Dr Pepper

I don’t know what kind of seasonings they use, but it kind of tastes taco-y and like smoky BBQ at the same time, and then I had the medium heat, on these big, moist and tender pieces of chicken. Fantastic! I’m really curious about the mild and no spice versions as well.

Have you been to a Dave’s Hot Chicken yet?

There’s a DHC near my kid in Rock HIll, SC. IIRC, they have been there and liked it. (I’m pescetarian and won’t be giving it a shot.)

We just had one open in Cheyenne 3 months ago. It’s already lasted longer than the last business to use that building!

Have not been able to try Dave’s but as a southern girl, hot chicken is my fave.

You liked one of my posts so just stopped by to check out your blog. Very cool. I went to Ithaca College a million years ago and have spent some time in Binghamton, etc. as well. So much love for upstate NY

    Cheers,
