To celebrate my 40th birthday, the SO and I started the day with breakfast at Clinton Street Cafe in Binghamton, NY.
I rarely go out for breakfast these days, so steak and eggs at a small diner was the first thing that came to mind when asked about food.

My video footage turned out to be terrible, so no vlog for this one.
What I ate:
- Steak
- 3 eggs (medium)
- Home fries
- Rye bread
- Coffee
- Water with lemon
I loved that the waitress gave us a full rundown of the specials, extras to ask for, and other things the senior breakfast crowd asks about on a regular basis. She’s experienced, efficient, and made it easier for both parties. That kind of service instantly makes me want to return in the future.
The food was perfect for what you’d expect from a small breakfast diner. Super simple, and cooked perfectly.
I now see why it’s so busy there. (And we still didn’t wait long.)
Clinton Street Cafe was a great way to fuel our bodies before heading to Corning for an afternoon at the Corning Museum of Glass.
We’ll definitely be back, probably before another day trip. 🚗
