Previously: Gratitude #26 – November 2025

December, the most chaotic month of the year, has passed so quickly!

I turned 40, navigated through the holiday mayhem surprisingly well, saw the trees at Roberson Museum, visited Onondaga Lake and Lime Hollow Nature Center, had a good Christmas / Jul celebration overall, and so much more…  it’s hard remember everything that happened!

I received my first round of carpal tunnel injections this month and they help significantly! The first week after receiving the injections was terrible, but eventually the fluid absorbs, and now my hands and wrists feel so much better!

deciding not to set goals for the next year, and focus on the vibes instead (I don’t need to achieve, I need to just BE now)

This year has been truly incredible, in so many ways.. good and bad.

I have, unfortunately, learned so much about human nature in the current state of the US, and the world beyond. I don’t have the words right now to express my feelings around seeing so many abhorrent things happening in real time. Our brains weren’t built to comprehend this much depravity. But I feel I have to mention it because so many of us have been living in a state of constant anxiety and grief. This entire year has been an emotional rollercoaster.

As for MY life, I’ve been blessed. Everything that I’ve been working for, I manifested (again). There were sacrifices, tests of will, and finally great rewards at the end of the year. I moved to a new home in a new area, and now I have a brand new life that I get to fill with all the things I find fulfilling. 💖

Thank you for following along on this journey of becoming, and I’ll see you in 2026! ✨️

Happy 2026 from the first place in the world to see the new year (I was asleep at the time).
I agree with you about not setting goals. Setting goals is a great way to achieve something you want, but the assumption that everyone has to want more and should spend their ‘now’ working towards something better later is flawed for many people. A friend involved in a ‘big dreams’ group once said to me “Today, having a quiet coffee with a friend is more important than working towards a multi-millionaire future I am not even sure I want” – and for him, he was right.
Goal-setting is a great tool, but only to be used if you need it.
