Look at these… 👀
We saw these Great White Trillium at Monkey Run Natural Area the other day. (Hiking post coming soon!)
Early spring in Ithaca still looks a little bare, but the forest floor is already waking up, and this is one of the first signs. 🌱✨️

A few quick things to know
- Each plant takes several years to bloom.
- They only produce one flower at a time.
- If you pick the flower, it may kill the plant.
They’re more serious than they look. And protected by law!

If you go looking for them…
Stay on the trail.
Watch your step.
Take photos — leave everything else.
That’s it.

That early spring feeling ☁️
This is the part of the season most people skip.
Still gray. Still quiet.
But the early growth has already started.
And if you’re paying attention… it’s not subtle at all! 🌿✨️
